GCR to Add Feature Story News

Global Community Radio is pleased to inform its partner stations and listeners that we're adding Feature Story News (FSN) at selected times during our broadcast day.

This is made possible thanks to the generosity of Tom Oy of St. James University and Nova Public Media, who is allowing GCR to access their FSN account.

For now, FSN will air Monday to Friday at 5 AM and 11 PM Eastern on GCR1 with their 3 minute news bulletin. If there is enough interest from partner stations and listeners, we will start offering FSN's 5 minute newscasts at selected times during the broadcast day, alternating with the top of hour news headlines from the Voice of America (VOA).

As always, feedback is greatly appreciated.

Radio Taiwan International on GCR1

We want to inform our listeners and partner stations that we were notified in writing that Radio Taiwan International is in the process of updating their internet servers. While this process is taking place, there will be no new RTI podcasts available. GCR will be airing encore/recent RTI podcasts for the interim, until new episodes are available. Thanks to our friends at Radio 360 for putting us in touch with RTI regarding this issue.
