Two LPFM Community Stations in California Currently Conducting Tests of GCR1 on FM

Global Community Radio is pleased to announce that two low power FM (LPFM) stations in California are considering becoming GCR partner stations. To that end, they are running tests of GCR audio over their FM transmitters.

The stations are:
KFZR-LP (93.3) in Frazier Park
KLQS-LP (96.7) in Agua Dulce

From now through June 12th, both stations will be offering GCR1 and its innovative news and talk programming 24 hours a day.

If these tests are successful, then KLQS will remain with GCR1 24/7 for the foreseeable future, as they are in the process of applying to the FCC for a transmitter move. Meanwhile, KFZR will likely offer GCR1 programming to its listeners during the overnight hours, while resuming their normal mix of Pacifica programming during the day.

Please watch this space for further updates as we continue to work with these stations to solidify this partnership. In the meantime, we would love to hear from listeners in Frazier Park and Agua Dulce who are receiving this programming. We'd love to hear your thoughts on GCR1, and its programming.
